OWTC a privately owned microbiological laboratory specializing in bacterial analysis of food and water.
OWTC has been serving the food and agricultural industry since 1989 and are committed to providing the highest quality and most effective product testing services. OTWC holds accreditation and licenses with:
- Canadian Association of Lab Accreditation (CALA) – Membership #3227, and
- Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) – License #2317.
- Health Canada for the Analytical Testing of Cannabis – License #LIC-8ZY57SA01C-2019-4
Primarily, OWTC conducts analysis of meat, fish, agricultural products, chocolate, environmental swabs, and water samples (waste, raw, treated, distribution). OWTC is licensed by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) to conduct accredited analysis on drinking water samples in accordance with the Safe Water Drinking Act. Analysis includes the detection of E. coli, Total Coliforms, Background bacteria and Heterotrophic Plate Counts.
Additionally, OWTC provides a variety of food analysis capabilities ranging from indicator organism enumeration to pathogen detection, shelf-life determination and challenge studies.
